An Easy way to Control a CineCenter HTPC

IR Remotes are nice, but... it's a computer! The mouse is a much faster pointing device than the slow and constant clicking of those East-West-North-South buttons on a remote control. But we're not talking about just any mouse...
The Gyration GO 2.4 Optical Air Mouse is new and unique in that you can pick it up off the desk and use it in a wand fashion. An internal gyro detects your hand movements and translates that into on-screen pointer movement. With RF Technology, operating at 2.4 Ghz, the Gyration Optical Air Mouse has a range of 30 feet, more than enough reach for most home theaters.

In addition to the mouse, they also have a Mouse & Compact Keyboard package. Personally, I love this product. Comparing pricing of IR remote controls versus the Gyration I found it more cost effective and, in some ways, more efficient than fumbling with a conventional remote. I can operate CineCenter, edit movie info, browse the web... and I don't have to hunt for yet another remote control!
